Every Life Is the Being

Meditación con Mataji Shaktiananda

Make every breath bring clarity, focusing yourself.
Do this exercise, of clearing yourself,
and observe that which your inner vision produces,
how it adjusts and it readjusts,
that seeing of neither flashes nor shadows.
Clear yourself.

The immobility in your inner gaze,
ocular quietude, quietude.
Until with serenity,
you are able to lift your eyes and keep them like that,
still, firm and raised.
They are your eyes, it is your gaze, it is your vision,
they are your window, and the doors to your Being.

Everything rests in you with quietude,
and the one who receives: your own system,
which orders itself in this way,
and that which is agitated in your mind seeks to calm itself.
That which crowds in, rushes over, creates noise,
let it be calmed, seek clarity.

Quiet the mind,
so that thoughts are also quieted.
Let what you think know to maintain itself in quietude.
How are your thoughts?
And it is not that you define them, you feel them,
because what they are, is what they feel for you.
And what they feel for you, is what they are.

So now, in this moment,
offer yourself conscious, loving, serene thoughts,
until they clear away and remain still.
Breathing consciously at full attention.
And in this way you are alive, in your life,
living this life.

How is your life?
Do not define it either; feel it.
Feel it, because it is the purest exercise of your Being.
And I know that you know why,
because to feel your life, is to feel all life,
the life that exists, in the life of everyone, of so many.

And I know that you know, also, what is happening in this world:
Life has lost value;
for this you must breathe in full consciousness
and complete trust.
What do you believe has happened?
Why has it lost value?
Because if you feel well, you know what life is,
and the value that you give it,
not only your life, but that of anyone.

And you know it because you breathe well,
you stive toward that, you dedicate yourself to it, you enjoy it,
you discipline yourself.

How does one believe, moreover,
that one life has greater value than another?
What gives it value?
Every life is the Being, even if it doesn’t know it
and doesn’t even want to know it.

How is your breath doing?
How alive is it?
How conscious?

The breath remains there, sustained,
more than conscious, knowing what life is,
for the moment that it is, until it is no longer.
And life ceases to be.

Do you believe that we are only capable
of feeling life, while alive?
You have already experienced the feeling
of death in life.
And it could be your own as well as that of others
and you cling to your breath.

Do so now, but understand well what is to cling:
It is to contain yourself in your whole life,
it is to consider yourself from your complete love,
and from there, from that,
you will be capable of feeling moved in life,
for so many deaths that occur,
that are expressed, that are recounted.

You will breathe from your quietude
and you will honor what the Law in light is.
You will not fear nor judge,
but you will always know one feels
upon seeing death in life.

And understand well:
Some depart without condemnation,
because believe it or not,
it has been decided to set them free.
Do you know why?
Because there is no one to attend
to the evil and the disorder.

So then, value your life
before the human decision to devalue it,
before the fury of power, become conscious,
meditate on your Being,
make an effort for the love that Is.

From me, gratitude.
From you, all that you can and want.

Always thank more.
Breathe, become present,
be joyful for your life and love more.
