THE ETERNAL MAHAVATAR BABAJI

Throughout history, various spiritual traditions have referred to the figure of Mahavatar Babaji, regarded by many as a guiding consciousness during key moments of transformation for humanity. His presence has been associated with processes of spiritual renewal and the emergence of masters across different periods and cultures, both in the East and the West.

From the very beginning of her spiritual journey, Mother Shaktiananda has been guided directly by him as a master and point of reference, accompanying her in her realization and in the shaping of the Shiva Kriya Yoga path.

RECOGNITIONS IN LIGHT

Alongside the constant guidance of Mahavatar Babaji, Mother Shaktiananda has also received the support of several renowned spiritual masters.

She was initiated into the Ancient Order of Swamis, receiving the title of Paramahansa, a distinction that acknowledges a high level of spiritual realization.

In September 2006, His Holiness Shankaracharya Swami Divyanand Thirth Maharaj—then one of India’s foremost spiritual leaders—bestowed upon her the Shaktipath (initiation) during a sacred gathering in the Venezuelan mountains.

Later, in 2007, during the Kumbha Mela celebration in Allahabad (India), she was granted the title of Mahamandaleshwar, in recognition of her spiritual path and mission.

With this, Mother Shaktiananda became the first woman to receive this title within the Sanatan Dharma (the path of universal spirituality) in the Western world, being honored as Her Holiness Anant Vibushit Shree Mahamandaleshwar Ma Shaktiananda Paramahansa.
