Be implacable with the darkness

Meditación con Mataji Shaktiananda

Concentrate on your breathing

and attend to its transit.

If you are able, visualize its path

so that you feel what you are:

an exact system that contains

and gives you everything, and knows how to receive,

from that which exists, from that which Is, and enjoys it.

Feel life, perceive your Being

and surrender yourself to this moment,

in which you concern yourself with you,

and at the same time, with everything, because it is like that.

You will say: Can I handle so much?

You can handle yourself, that, and more.

So, breathe serenely,

attend to the tone, interiorize it,

join yourself to its vibration, reduce tension,

trust in your capacity and in what you want.

You go on letting go, you go on remaining,

so that whatever may be, is expanded,

so that you know to inhabit all of yourself,

this, your state of open, infinite,

unlimited, powerful consciousness.

Let the breath assist you.

Do not try to hear anything, to see something,

appeal to your quietude, your immutability,

and establish yourself there.

These are times

in which the winds stir,

they bring and they take,

and if you know little about who you are,

what you do, what you want,

they stir you as well.

And what they seek:

That you become confused, that you fail to recognize yourself.

Breathe wisely and serenely,

play at perceiving yourself.

How much of yourself do you reach?

What sustains you?

What is your greatest support of the Being?

How much have you found here, on this Earth,

that you have wanted to remain here still,

in the forms of life, to relate,

exchange, give, receive, trust, love.

The breath translates to you,

it settles you or disturbs you.

And the winds…

that seek to batter and overtake you

with that which is so strategically formulated.

And you breathe peacefully,

and the winds provoke you,

they challenge you, and in you,

your truth and your quietude.

And the breath,

that, in principle is one’s own,

but that takes and gives

to what these very winds are.

Your inner winds, calm, conscious.

In the measure that you’re able

suspend yourself, propose it to yourself.

Do not believe that you contain,

you release, you release, you free yourself,

because what you produce, is like sap,

it is your nourishment of the Being,

that traverses you, passes through you, runs through you.

It carries nothing more than what you are.

Propose it, try, trust, suspend yourself.

Let everything else coordinate this moment,

offering it to you.

It is not that the winds cease:

They pass. They do not brush against you,

nor do they bend you, and even less, cause you to yield.

You are firm and conscious and maintain yourself.

Let the gales pass,

let them whisper or shout.

And in the chest, what beats, so constant.

And, best of all, what you know Is:

your Being responding, your Being in truth, your Being,

before that which Is, and it palpitates as you do,

so sublime, so divine, so possible,

more so when your work like this,

on you, for you, and what Is:

This force that sustains the light.

It coincides there,

you are everything, you have everything,

without diminishing yourself, without overshadowing yourself or anyone.

Let that be and nourish your breathing,

your Being, what your soul is,

what your spirit does,

what your force is capable of.

Become conscious,

become present and breathe.

Let those winds of yours,

breathe deeply, breathe with gratitude,

breathe with the assistance of what you know

the force of light is.

Of course, be implacable with the darkness,

more so, your own.

Be merciful with those who ignore,

and don’t let that be you,

for this you breathe like this, you contact yourself in this way,

and you become in you and in what Is.

Breathe deeply,

and establish increasingly greater purpose.
