You Are the Effect of Your Cause

Meditación con Mataji Shaktiananda

I make a function, of this breathing
knowing that my greatest and best function is to live.
I convert myself into life
and I convert my life into what I am,
for this I breathe and keep myself alive.
In the measure that I breathe,
I come to understand and feel
what living is.

And that breath of mine, what it tells me, is my decision;
and although I do not remember how, when,
why, or for what purpose,
my decision has been to live.
And although I ask myself the same question so many times
in the face of any situation, before so many presences,
I know that everything within me knows.

I know that my life is an effect
of the entire cause that I am.
I am so much and at the same time I am nothing.
I have breathed so much and so often I have not.

For this reason, today, when I have learned to breathe again
in this conscious way
in which I now inhabit myself, in which I now live,
I understand well that I was also born
to one day cease to breathe.

For this reason, each day I become more present,
more conscious, of what this entire decision implies,
and it is to make of what I am,
in the truth that I contain,
a being who has known, who has wanted, who has been able
to pronounce themselves in the Being.

For this reason, I breathe consciously and deeply,
and I do not exhaust myself in this almost lifeless space
in which the illusion of loving is exhausted
when so much breathing does not convert,
does not transform into the principle of love that exists
and that belongs to everyone.

I no longer question,
I no longer demand, and much less do I ignore
all those decisions that do not coincide
with the profound truth that so many
have ignored within themselves.

And I still have breath,
and I still have strength,
and I have more than enough truths
to expand the pure feeling
that I have nurtured within me
to know that every decision is my own
and that every truth is possible.

May every soul be born and die,
knowing, understanding, and accepting
the innate strength, the inherent capacity,
and the quality of eternity
that the Being contains, the one that is,
without even belonging,
because the Creator Source neither restricts, nor limits, nor possesses.

And it doesn’t even speak of freedom,
it is about splendor without containment or form,
rather, it is the constant flow of the Nothing.
Could you imagine it? Could you?
And that is it, that is the only thing that is and exists.

Do not continue directing your Being
into misery or evil,
or into oppression.

Breathe deeply, truly breathe,
breathe expansively into what you believe and feel your Being is.

Just promise yourself one thing:
love, love, and more love,
forever.
