You are here today.
Assure yourself of being here,
of feeling yourself here, of knowing yourself in you.
And the manner is so simple,
it is just your breathing, your breath,
that you go on establishing.
It is when you become present,
you become in your presence.
That feeling of being alive, active, conscious.
That implies nothing more,
than that the acceptance of who you are,
runs through you, equally.
So, breath attentively.
Examine yourself without excessive rigor.
What is this that rests here?
What does it contain?
What is it? What has it done?
What does it feel? What does it await?
Permit all of that
to going stirring there,
in your innermost depths,
in the extension of what your mind is,
believing itself to be you.
The breath that sustains,
the one that could become an agitation,
if do not dominate yourself.
Who are you?
What have you done?
What determines you?
What interests you?
What matters to you?
What are you playing at?
Are you conscious?
Breathe what you need to,
perhaps to alleviate yourself,
more so, if there is something you know.
Examine yourself.
Do you dominate your thinking?
Or does manage to overwhelm you, to suffocate you, to reproach you.
And, in any case, breathe, so deeply…
Examine how much you have been able to quiet,
how much lies there, in your mind,
how much it is capable of sustaining,
which doesn’t guarantee that you are at peace with yourself.
There are minds that examine themselves,
they distend themselves, and even relax,
and they do not know what they are and contain.
That is why you are here,
you do this, you attend to yourself, you concentrate,
and what would be ideal: you surrender, you give yourself,
with this tremendous assistance,
your breath, conscious and tenacious.
Is meditating a mental exam?
Do we have to be perpetually examining ourselves?
Would we have to give a grade, upon examining ourselves?
Would more reason and judgement enter, perhaps?
Listen well: surrender yourself.
Surrender your mind, expose it.
Have patience, have mercy,
do justice, demand resolutions of yourself,
and, above all, trust.
As we have said:
Mind of mine, permit me to be,
release the tensions,
discard the lies, expand yourself.
Mind of mine, become conscious,
no longer recriminate yourself, do not hide yourself.
Mind of mine: learn to radiate
with the truth that you are.
You are my truth.
How could one deny you? How could one hide you?
How could one not love?
The breath does not even exist,
it is the suspension, it is the attainment,
it is the non-mind, and the step toward all else,
the pulse, the constant beat,
and the force that attracts.
And the soul rejoicing.
That is surrender.
It is when without destination,
without even a course,
in full silence and in ecstasy,
everything ceases, and the surrender is consumed.
Beloved father…
You breathe more,
you return to your here, right now,
conscious that you are,
hopefully of what you are,
and you give thanks, you thank yourself
for your own will and your goodness,
and your beloved, willing soul.
