Erika Tucker, today Shaktiananda Ma, is a beautiful revelation about the real possibilities of the human being in his search for the Infinite. The Mother is today the living proof that all beings, including us in this area of ​​the Planet, can lead a “normal”, strict and demanding life in our own time, and perform the unique task. We no longer have excuses in the face of her example.

Sri Shaktiananda Ma was born as Erika Tucker in the city of Caracas, Venezuela on September 26, 1961. 

She was deeply linked to the Arts, especially music, and developed a beautiful fascination for the phenomena of Communication, which led her to pursue a career in Social Communication. The exercise of journalism was as a process full of challenges and achievements. She worked very successfully as an entertainment journalist both nationally and internationally, which allowed her to closely meet the greatest cultural and artistic icons of the 80s and 90s. In the early 1990s, her TV musical program “A Toque” became the most important reference of avant-garde musical trends in Venezuela, and projected Erika as an icon of the up and coming artistic proposals of the country.

In 1991, humanly tragic circumstances gave young Erika a painful awakening. The passing of her mother in a car accident in which Erika was driving led her to search for answers that scientific rationality and common Faith could not offer.

Despite the initial incomprehension and pain, her mother’s passing brought an implicit Infinite Blessing, from that moment on; Erika slowly began her walk towards her own Realization. After intense years of inner work, at the end of the 1990s, in an unforgettable session of meditation and encounter, the Infinite Energy of The Mahavatar Babaji made It Self present: “I am Babaji; I am your mentor and your guide.”

Through a path of Surrender, Love and Courage, this flourishing Master projects, until recently in an almost intimate way, the powerful Light and Teaching of the Masters that constitute the Millennial Spiritual Lineage of The Mahavatar Babaji. The Immortal Master that was introduced worldwide through the Universal mission of Paramahansa Yogananda, who referred to him in his “Autobiography of a Yogi”, an essential book for deep seekers.
